You know, this would have been the perfect place to use the "doppel your pleasure, doppel your fun" joke, but here we are on the third of these items. And I'll be damned if I'm going to walk into a Tribble joke.
October 2005's item of the month is hard to tie down, literally. When you use it, it hope into your terrarium and becomes a Doppelshifter familiar.
At the start of a fight, this familiar will randomly assume the form of some other familiar. Will it attack your opponent? Will it heal you? Will it help you find meat or items? THE SUSPENSE, IT BURNS!
Anyway, if you like your gameplay flavored with a dollop of chaos, this is the perfect item for you.
