The Dandy Lion Cub was the Item of the Month from March 2007. When used, it becomes a Dandy Lion familiar.
The Dandy Lion acts as a gravy fairy and a ghuol whelp ... in other words, it increases item drop percentage, and restores some of your HP and MP after every combat. If you're holding a whip -- and no one will comment on your lifestyle choice, don't worry -- it will also occasionally attack your enemies.
It's very useful, especially if you have trouble coming up with enough MP to keep all your effects running.
